Musicians Inspired by Faith

Last week I received a business card from Strung Up, an online shop featuring handcrafted guitar string jewelry. I knew this would be a great product to introduce on my blog so I contacted the store owner, Joyce Roseman for more information. Quickly we became acquainted through email and we both knew our meeting had been arranged by God.

Joyce and I instantly clicked, clearly it was music which brought us together. I am very excited to share how music has inspired her family's life.

They live life on a mission: to inspire a love for music, to be great teachers, to produce unique products using creative materials and to advocate for others. They are passionate musicians and creative artists. Through the years, the Rosemans have spent their time teaching, performing concerts, advocating and creating unique products like their new line of "Strung Up" Jewelry.

Not only does she make beautiful jewelry but, in 2009 her family launched Concerts of Hope, a 501c3 non-profit organization, to advocate for people suffering from depression and other similar illnesses. They use inspiring music (their daughter Kyrsten Paige is an exciting singer/songwriter) and their own testimony to help others by visiting local churches and groups to spread their message. They are convinced that the world can benefit by engaging in the framework of their personal life stories.

Joyce and her husband, Glen, are both trained musicians with BA degrees in Music Education. Their combined years of teaching, of over 35 years, includes public, Christian, and Montessori Schools, as well as private music studio instruction. The Roseman family has spent several years sharing Inspirational Music Concerts all over the Eastern US. For the past 12 years, they have owned and operated two music teaching studios. They have spent the past 6 years teaching in Lebanon, TN, where they offer private instruction in piano, voice, guitar and song writing.

Concerts of Hope is an exciting organization which allows many individual voices to be heard and felt, is a platform for personal life stories. They are hosting a fundraising banquet on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, TN. Larrivieres Restaurant is providing a catered brunch and there will be a guest speaker. Tickets are $50.00. For more information about this cause visit the website, ConcertsOfHope.org.
