A Rascal Flatt Has the 'Star Spangled Blues'

Last week I sold one of my favorite pieces, "Star Spangled Blues," to Joe Don Rooney, lead guitar player for the Rascal Flatts, and his wife, Tiffany Fallon Rooney. This is a very exciting accomplishment in my art career!

For the past year I have been showing art in The Delta City Club, an exclusive first class gym in Nashville, TN. Lucky for me Tiffany Fallon Rooney saw my painting and purchased it!

I created "Star Spangled Blues" for the Williamson County Fair Professional Painting art show last summer 2008. Since then it has been exhibited at Management Solutions Group in downtown Nashville, Center For the Arts in Murfreesboro, The Tennessee Art League in Plowhous' April Gallery Crawl, The Pilkerton Building, and The Delta City Club. I'm so happy it's finally made it's way home.

I created the work on a 36 x 24 gallery wrapped canvas and used acrylic paints, tea-dye music paper, misc paper, blue jean sewing thread, glue, and varnish. I love to create American Flag artwork because I truely believe in the American Dream. We are all so lucky to have the opportunity to become whatever we imagine. I love that I live in a country where that is possible.
